Check In Question: What item or possession do you value the most?
- Miranda: My angel necklace that my family gave me after my last round of chemo, my red book copy of Lord of the Rings that I read while on chemo, and my violin that my grandmothers bought me. Lysithea’s is her Cloak of Displacement.
- Liz: My phone is my favorite thing. Octavia’s is her Ensnare bow – it’s been quite helpful.
- Kevin: My leatherbound signed copy of Faith of the Fallen. Gobbles would be his nicely orange-stained Mithril plate armor.
- Cordelia: Mr. Porgy Pants (stuffed porg from Disney World). Surina’s is her Dragonsword.
- Justice: My oboe. Ahsec’s would be his amplification chamber.
When we last left the party, they were making their way through an anti-Fey dungeon. The cold, iron walls make Gobbles uncomfortable and add to the sense of foreboding. The party had found a room of respite, where a stolen statue of Vulcan, the volcano god, blessed the party with food that gave the benefits of a long rest. After solving a series of puzzles and fighting off magical beasts the party is exhausted. Alba is completely overwhelmed by the dungeon, as she is not used to this level of adventuring yet. She decides to rest and wait in the room with the statue while the rest of the party continues forward.
The party faces yet another door.
Lysithea: Surina, go knock on the door.
Surina mumbles a little, then knocks on the door. Nothing happens. Before trying to open the door themselves the party checks for traps (investigation Gobbles 12, Octavia 18, Lysithea adjusted 20). While they do not notice any overt traps, they do find writing on the door. The writing is in Deep Speech, which Lysithea (arcana 21) translates as a spell which will trigger when the door opens. Gobbles sits down and ritually casts Identify to learn what spell is on the door – Conjure Creature.
Gobbles: I think if we open this door we might have a friend. It may not be friendly, though.
Lysithea: What happens if I burn down the door? Oh wait, it’s iron. I don’t think I can make fire hot enough. Or by the time it’s hot enough we would be old. Well, we would. Octavia would be fine.
The party thinks of any possible way around the door, but since Alba is not present and cannot cast Dispel Magic they settle for opening the door. Surina, Lysithea, and Gobbles brace themselves as Ocavia opens the door. As soon as the door opens two Aeorian Absorber appear, one in front of the party and one behind. (Initiative Octavia 21, Gobbles 6, Surina Nat20+1, Lysithea 7)
Begin Absorber Fight
Surina draws her Dragonsword and rushes towards the first absorber (attack 21). She strikes the absorber across the back for 12 slashing and 16 fire damage; however, the beast seems to only take part of the fire damage as it absorbs the rest into its tail. Surina swings again (attack 24) and deals another 11 slashing and 17 fire. Octavia casts Hunter’s Mark on the absorber in front of her, then fires 2 arrows at it (attack 14, 15). The first arrow lands in the doorway, but the second pierces the absorber for 18 damage. The first absorber pounds on Surina, biting her for 21 damage. It then swings both claws at Surina, but cannot get its claws through her armor. The second absorber runs towards Gobbles in an attempt to bite him and claw at him, but Gobbles hides behind his shield and takes no damage. Lysithea summons her Hound of Ill Omen and sics it on the absorber by the door. The hound suddenly apparates from the wall, positions itself behind its target, and bites down on its back leg (attack adjusted 20). The absorber takes 10 piercing damage, but manages to stay on its feet. Lysithea, remembering that the absorbers can take her magic and throw it back at her, takes Jeffery out and sends him towards the absorber behind her. As Jeffery scuttles towards his prey Lysithea uses the Staff of Swarming Insects to make him grow to a giant scorpion.
Octavia: It’s Jeffrey!!!
Jeffrey claws at the absorber (attack 15, Nat20) and deals a total 17 damage. With the absorber now grappled in both of Jeffrey’s claws, the scorpion pierces the beast with his stinger (attack 24) for 5 piercing and 11 poison damage.
Lysithea: Good boy, Jeffrey!
Gobbles: Hey you, I think this fight is going to turn into a cat-astrophe!
Gobbles casts Tasha’s Hideous Laughter on the grappled absorber. The absorber starts cackling like a jackal and is now both grappled and incapacitated. Surina continues her assault on the absorber by the doorway (attack 26). She deals 10 slashing and 8 fire damage, then swings again (attack 22) for an additional 9 slashing and 10 fire damage. Octavia switches to her ensnaring bow and fires at her marked absorber (attack 22). Vines erupt from the arrow as it pierces the absorber, but it is able to leap out of the way to avoid being ensnared. It still takes 16 damage from the attack. Octavia fires again (attack 13), but her arrow goes wide. The absorber retaliates against Surina, biting her leg for 15 damage. The absorber swipes at Surina with its claws, but once again it cannot pierce her armor. The other absorber manages to stop laughing, but is still grappled in Jeffery’s claws. Lysithea’s hound tries to bite its target, but misses. Jeffrey uses his claws to crush the absorber (attack 19, 19) for a total of 10 damage, then pierces it with his stinger (attack 16) for 6 piercing and 19 poison damage. Lysithea is tbangs his hammer downoo afraid to cast a spell, so she runs up to the absorber in Jeffrey’s claws and whacks it with her staff (attack Nat20) for 8 damage. Gobbles swings his Slime Sword/lollipop at the absorber (attack 17) for 5 slashing and 4 sneak attack damage.
The party can hear a loud thudding coming from the other room (perception Lysithea 7, Octavia 25, Surina adjusted 20). Octavia and Surina specifically hear chains rattling and pulling, and iron buckling.
Octavia: NOOOO! There’s some bad sounds coming from the next room! Something is coming!
Surina stabs the absorber in front of her (attack adjusted 20) for 9 slashing and 12 fire damage. She swings her Dragonsword again (attack 27) for an additional 5 slashing and 13 fire damage. The hound fades away as the absorber falls over, dead. Octavia turns her attention to the grappled absorber, transferring her Hunter’s Mark to it, then fires an arrow at its face (attack 23). The absorber takes 10 piercing damage and then an additional 11 damage from Octavia’s second arrow (attack 21).
The sounds of chains and scraping iron grow louder and louder. Surina is the first to spot the approaching terror. She sees chains whipping around a monstrosity of a creature that looks like a flesh golem. (Arcana Lysithea 18, Octavia 19, Surina Nat1). Surina starts making terrified gurgling sounds as she has no idea what this abomination is. Octavia and Lysithea deduce that this creature was once a golem that had been experimented on.
Octavia: Let’s kill it and put it out of its misery.
Lysithea: I agree.
The remaining absorber bites Jeffrey, who has been doing the most damage to it, for 18 damage. It bites the scorpion again and again for 15 and 9 more damage. Jeffrey retaliates (attack 24, 19), piercing the absorber with its claws for a total 24 damage. The scorpion then pierces the absorber with his stinger (attack adjusted 20) for 9 piercing and only 8 poison damage. Lysithea can see the approaching chained golem (wisdom saving throw 16) but the sight does not phase her. She sends out a whip of psychic energy at the monstrosity, lashing at the golem for 10 psychic damage. The golem stands unphased, the psychic whip doing no damage to it, but the effects of Tasha’s Mind Whip still take hold. Gobbles turns to look at the golem (wisdom saving throw 9) and instanstly becomes frightened by the sight. He closes his eyes and fires his confetti Eldritch Blasts at it (attack 14) for 8 force damage. Surina is a mighty paladin of Bahamut and is not afraid of the golem, but it still gives her the creeps so she runs away from it to attack the absorber. She swings her sword at the absorber (attack 14, 22). Her first swing goes wide, but the second strikes for 9 slashing and 15 fire damage. Octavia uses her Ensnaring Bow and fires an arrow at the golem (attack 28). The arrow pierces its target for 20 piercing damage as vines explode from the arrow and ensare the golem. She fires again (attack 21) for an additional 8 damage. The now ensnared golem lashes out one of its chains at Octavia, striking her for 12 damage. The chain then wraps around Octavia, grappling her, and the golem starts to pull her in. The golem throws another chain at Octavia for 11 more damage (Octavia constitution save 14), but no other effects take hold of her.
The absorber continues to try to take down the giant scorpion grappling it, biting it for 14 force damage. It tries to bite Jeffrey 2 more times, but its fangs cannot pierce Jeffrey’s exoskeleton. Jeffrey, still standing, attacks back with his claws (attack 19, 13), but only one claw hits for 7 damage; however, his piercer strikes true (attack 19) for 5 piercing and 23 poison damage. The absorber goes limp in Jeffrey’s claws.
Lysithea: Way to go Jeffrey!
Jeffrey starts strutting in an attempt to impress Eugenie (see Session ). The party can now focus all of their attention on the experiemental golem. Lysithea is running low on spells, but wants to see if any other magic will effect it. She shoots a Firebolt at the golem (attack 24), and the 16 fire damage causes the golem’s flesh to drip a little before rehardening.
Lysithea: EW! Fire good! Fire good!
Gobbles runs behind a wall for cover and attempts Toll the Dead on the golem, but it appears that the golem has very strong magic resistance. Surina, the brave, totally not-creeped-out paladin, charges at the golem (attack 15), striking it for 12 slashing and 16 fire damage. She does a quick happy dance at the success of her attack, then strikes again (attack adjusted 20) for an additional 6 slashing and 15 fire damage. Octavia (athletics 19) summons her strenght and bursts free of the chains. She transfers her Hunter’s Mark to the golem, then runs back into the previous room. The golem tries to attack her as she flees, but its chains get stuck in the ceiling, causing part of it to crumble as he pulls them back down. It lets out a low growl, and begins to vibrate as if it was casting Haste on itself, but Lysithea quickly Counterspells because that would hurt a lot. Jeffrey can’t fit down the hallway to attack the golem, so he stands guard in case something else appears from behind. Lysithea casts Firebolt as a Twinned Spell (attack 21, 28). Both blasts hit for a total 33 damage. The sight of the golem’s melting and rehardening flesh is quite nauseating. Gobbles (acrobatics 21) ducks and rolls under the golem, takes a quick moment to double-dutch the chains, then turns and stabs at the golem with his slime blade (attack 18). The golem takes 11 slashing damage, 4 Fury of the Small, 8 Green Flame Blade fire, and, as Gobbles channels the power of Bahamut for Divine Smite, 19 radiant damage.
Gobbles: I’ll stay.
Surina really wants this thing to be gone and swings away at the golem (attack adjusted 20) for a total 10 slashing and 14 fire damage. She lets out a victorious hiss as the golem flops to the ground, dead.
End Absorber/Golem Fight
The party inspects the remaining puddle and discover that the golem was made of clay.
Lysithea: Oh thank gods it wasn’t flesh.
It had been infused with fiendish chains (Lysithea Arcana Nat20). Lysithea concludes that whoever did this had taken the all the magic from a chained devil and fused it with a clay golem. This is high level magic that someone, or something, is playing with. The party inspects the clay, which is no longer magical but is mallable. Gobbles ponders for a second, then puts some of the clay in his mouth.
Lysithea: Oh my gosh, Gobbles!
Surina: No! Gobbles! Don’t do it, don’t do it!
Lysithea: He already did it…
Gobbles: It was just a pinch!
The clay has a muddy taste, with an infusion of sulfer.
Gobbles: Yeah, I’ll take a tankard of that.
Surina: Oh, come on! Gobbles! What! Ugh!
Gobbles happily labels his tankard “Spicy Clay”. Lysithea shrinks Jeffrey back down and returns him to his house/cage with Eugenie and Eustace. Lysithea scoops up the chains and adds them to the party’s inventory. The party look themselves over and realize they are exhuausted and almost out of spells. Without a word they all head back to the room with the Vulcan statue to eat the magical healing food.
Lysithea: Hi, Mr. Door.
Doorknob: Oh, hello! I’ve been talking to this owl here. Any new riddles?
Surina: Do they have to rhyme?
Doorknob: They do not need to rhyme.
Lysithea: What’s the difference between a piano and a fish?
Doorknob: A piano… a fish… the similarities or the differences?
Lysithea: The difference.
Doorknob: Because I know the similarities. They both have scales. But what’s the difference?
Lysithea: You can tune a piano but you can’t tuna fish.
Doorknob: HAHA! Okay. You can go in.
The party gets the effects of a long rest as they eat the food from the Vulcan statue. Lysithea gives some to Jeffrey so that he can rest and heal, too. Feeling refreshed, the party heads back through the non-euclidean looped stairs and down the hallway where the experimental clay golem was coming from.
They come to a huge room filled with failed experiments. The drooped forms of clay golems are everywhere. Chains line the walls and are piled on the floor. Whoever this mad arcanist is was trying to infuse golems with magic from many chained devils. In the back corner of the room is a staircase leading down.
Lysithea: This is one of the more uncomfortable places I think we’ve been. And we’ve been places.
Octavia: I feel ya.
Gobbles: All that cold iron…
Lysithea: Gobbles, how are you doing?
Gobbles: Uh… It will be better once we’re through this place. I mean, I got some spicy clay and we made a new friend so…
Lysithea: Yes, we’ll make sure Professor comes back for the doorknob, cause that was actually a really good idea you had.
The party takes a deep breath, then descends the spiraling staircase (stealth Lysithea 13, Surina 9, Octavia 11, Gobbles 22). As they climb down they see little off-shoot rooms where more experimentation was done. They pass more and more rooms filled with failed golem experiements. The party is still uncomfortable, and their attempts at stealth are not going well. Lysithea pats herself down to make sure her Mage Armor is still up.
At the bottom of the staircase is a huge room. Looking in, they see three massive tube chambers, filled with liquid. Each chamber has a creature floating inside – an Aeorian Reverser, Absorber, and Nullifier. Next to one of the chambers is a figure they’ve seen before, who confronted and tried to taunt the party outside of Pupbaat. The figure has two of Rhu’s items on him – the other half of the amulet, and something he is actively infusing into a cobalt golem. As the item clicks into place, energy begins to surge through the golem. Initiative (Gobbles 15, Octavia 19, Surina 14, Lysithea 3)
Begin Mage Fight
The mage lets out a cackle as the golem comes to life along with the room. Gears begin to turn, lights begin to flash, and the eyes of the golem begin to turn a bright blue. Octavia quickly casts Hunter’s Mark, then takes out her Ensnare Bow and shoots at the mage (attack 25). The mage is able to leap out of the way of the ensnaring vines, but takes 14 damage from the arrow now in his arm. She fires again (attack 12), but the arrow goes wide to the left. Gobbles runs forward, dashes, and Misty Steps next to the tanks with the Aeorian beasts. Surina runs forward, Misty Steps right in front of the mage’s face, then swings her sword at him (attack 25) for 12 slashing and 11 fire damage. She uses the momentum from her first swing to strike again (attack Nat20), dealing 13 slashing and 30 fire damage, plus 43 radiant damage from Divine Smite. The mage doubles over in pain from the devastating blow. The golem’s eyes, now fully alight, blast out an anti-magic field in a 60ft cone. The golem turns to look at Lysithea and Octavia, not quite covering them, but blocking them from most of the room. The golem throws one of its fists at Surina, punching her for 15 damage. An item fused within the golem’s chest busts out and tries to attack Surina (Dexterity saving throw 18), but Surina leaps out of the way. The mage sees the little Goblin running up to the tanks and casts Hold Person (Wisdom saving throw 13). Lysithea (arcana 26) recognizes the verbal components of Hold Person and casts Counter Spell at 5th level using Distant Spell, countering the mage’s spell. The frustrated mage Misty Steps closer to the back of the room to distance himself from Lysithea. Lysithea summons her Hound of Ill Omen and sics him on the golem. The Hound bites at the golem’s ankle (attack Nat20) for 14 damage, but it doesn’t seem to do as much damage as it should. The Hound twists with the golem’s ankle in its mouth and pulls the golem down prone, causing the golem’s anti-magic cone to now face the ceiling. Lysithea then casts Scorching Ray at the mage (attack 25, 23, 15), with 2 of the rays hitting for 7 and 10 fire damage; however, the mage splits the damage and only takes 4 and 5 damage, sending the remaining damage back at Lysithea. Luckily she is resistant to fire and takes only 4 damage total. The mage uses his legendary action to cast Magic Missile at Lysithea, dealing a total of 9 force damage. The golem uses its legendary action to slam Surina for 12 bludgeoning damage.
The room begins to change as the tank with the Aeorian Nullifier begins to glow. Octavia casts Lightning Arrow and fires at the mage, but the room Counter Spells her (wisdom saving throw 15); however, Octavia focuses her magic and is able to successfully cast the spell (attack 26). The mage is able to dodge some of the effects of the lightning, but still takes 16 piercing and lightning damage. The mechanical device that controls the Nullifier’s tank catches fire and begins to spark from the discharge of the lightning. Octavia fires a regular arrow at the mage (attack 16) for an additional 9 damage. The mage retaliates with Magic Missile, hitting Octavia for a total 11 force damage. The prone golem tries to slam Surina again, but Surina shoves the golem back with her shield. Gobbles attempts to Misty Step into the tank with the Nullifier, but the room Counter Spells him. Instead of following through with his plan, Gobbles runs up to the now sparking mechanical device and pierces into it (attack 18) for 6 slashing, 4 Fury of the Small, and 24 radiant damage from Divine Smite. With the device now broken the room powers down. Surina focuses her attention on the golem (attack 26), striking it for 12 slashing and 17 fire damage. She swings again (attack 25) for an additional 5 slashing and 6 fire damage. The Hound also attempts an attack of opportunity (attack 17) but cannot pierce the golem’s armor. The golem stands up and backs away from Surina (attack 25), who takes an attack of opportunity for 10 slashing and 12 fire damage. The golem heads straight towards Lysithea and stares her down, putting her right in its anti-magic field cone. Lysithea understands the mage’s Deep Speech as he says to Gobbles…
Mage: I said get away from that!
Lysithea: Gobbles, he’s said to get away from that.
Gobbles: No!
Mage: Look what you did!
Lysithea: And he’s saying look what you did. Good job, Gobbles!
The mage begins to cast a spell at Gobbles…
Lysithea: I can’t help you!
… (Wisdom saving throw Nat20) but Gobbles remains unaffected. The mage casts another spell, but Gobbles reacts with Shield and takes no damage. The Hound runs to get as close to the golem as possible, then bites again at its ankles. Although it doesn’t do any damage the Hound is able to drag the golem back down to prone.
Lysithea: Good Hound!
Lysithea remains where she is because the anti-magic cone is once again facing the ceiling. Lysithea casts Bigby’s Hand over the mage. The vampiric hand clenches into a fist and punches the mage (attack 17) for 24 force damage. The mage reacts to fuse damage, taking only half damage and storing the other half. The mage uses its legendary action to retaliate at Lysithea, using Magic Missile infused with the stored damage, dealing 21 force damage. Lysithea reacts in turn by Hellish Rebuking using Distant Spell, dealing 21 fire damage. The mage goes up in purple flames, leaving only the golem for the party to deal with.
The tank with the Berserker begins to light up and the room springs back to life. With the mage now dead, Octavia transfers her Hunter’s Mark to the prone golem. She aims her arrow and releases (attack Nat1), but the arrow bounces off the golem straight up into the ceiling.
Octavia: I guess I’m getting tired.
She tries again (attack 17) but cannot seem to hit the golem. Gobbles takes a deep breath and Misty Steps into the tank with the Berserker and attacks the beast inside (attack 17, auto-crit). He deals a total 11 piercing, 12 sneak attack, 33 radiant from Divine Smite, 4 Fury of the Small. The party sees the tank begin to flash like a disco ball as Gobbles breaks both the beast and the machine. The room powers down, and the party sees Gobbles floating inside the tank giving two thumbs up. Once again Surina runs and Misty Steps next to the golem, then stabs into it (attack adjusted 20) for 6 slashing and 11 fire damage. She stabs again (attack 27) for an additional 7 slashing and 8 fire damage. The golem stands up and moves towards Lysithea, giving both the Hound and Surina an attack of opportunity. The Hound misses, but Surina (attack adjusted 20) hits for 10 slashing and 7 fire damage. The golem fires an anti-magic bolt at Lysithea (Wisdom saving throw adjusted 20), but Lysithea withstands the effect and takes only 9 psychic damage. The golem then fires a large magical ring, which glows the same way that Rhu’s items do, at Lysithea, hitting her for 10 bludgeoning damage (Dexterity saving throw 10), and attaches itself to her. The golem turns away and heads towards Octavia. As the golem turns its anti-magic eyes away from Lysithea the ring takes effect, and Lysithea can feel her arcane focus no longer working. The golem then punches Octavia for 16 bludgeoning damage. Feeling the magic of Rhu on her, Lysithea takes out her dagger and stabs at the ring blocking her magic (attack 16). The ring breaks apart, turns black, and falls of of Lysithea. The Hound tries to bring the golem back down to prone (attack 18) but cannot land a bite on it.
The final tank with the Aeorian Reverser lights up, and once again the room comes to life. The golem is right on top of Octavia, but with the Hound helping her flank it she is confident in her archery skills. She fires an arrows at the golem (attack 26); however, the golem’s anti-magic eyes are staring her down, nullifying the magic properties of her bow. The arrow plinks off of the golems chest, doing no damage. Frustrated, Octavia moves around to the back of the golem and fires again (attack 25), this time hitting for 15 damage. Gobbles, still holding his breath in the tank with the now dead Berserker, Misty Steps into the tank with the Reverser. He casts Arms of Hadar, and a series of pool noodles begin to beat the tank and the Reverser from the inside. The tank bursts open! Gobbles rides the wave of goo out, then takes a tankard and fills it with the goo. Surina shakes her head at the sight of Gobbles, then attacks the golem (attack 17), but Gobbles is too distracting and she misses. She tries to focus herself and attacks again (attack 19), but misses yet again. The golem turns and lashes at Octavia (Wisdom saving throw Nat20), but she is able to withstand the attack and takes only 10 psychic damage. The golem then slams at Octavia twice, hitting both times for a total 24 damage.
Octavia: Alright, I’m hurt!
Lysithea moves her Bigby’s Hand closer to the back of the golem, then upcasts Scorching Ray at the golem (attack 19, 22, 23, 17, 22). Three of the rays hit for a total 19 damage. Luckily for Lysithea, the golem cannot react because she upcast the spell. The Hound tries again to bring down the golem (attack 9) but fails. Octavia is tired of the golem staring her down and moves behind it to once again flank with the Hound. She fires two arrows at it (attack 28, 21), with both piercing it for a total 29 damage. The golem is starting to break apart. With his tankard now full, Gobbles skitters all the way back away from the golem, fearful of an explosion for when it goes down. Surina moves to stand next to Octavia and swings wildly at the golem (attack 27). She hits it for 12 slashing, 14 fire, and 17 radiant damage from Divine Smite. The Hound disappears as the golem powers down, falling over defeated.
End Mage Fight
Lysithea has Bigby’s Hand fly over and very delicately picks up Rhu’s amulet from around the dead mage’s neck. It places the amulet on the floor and Lysithea rushes over and stabs it with her dagger. The Hand then pulls the core, another of Rhu’s items, out of the golem and Lysithea stabs it, too. Lysithea waves at the Hand, the Hand waves back and disappears. Lysithea then checks her map and the blinks have gone out; however, she notices a new blink in the Tundra.
Lysithea: Oh gods, no!
Surina: YAYAYAYAYAY!
Octavia: I’m used to the heat and deserts! I don’t think I can handle the cold.
Lysithea: We are so close to my home. They make supplies that can help us with the cold of the Tundra. Let’s go there first and gear up!
The party agrees. They rush back through the dungeon to collect Alba and the doorknob, then leave the horrid anti-Fey dungeon and reunite with Thistle and Truckasaurous, much to Gobbles delight.

Spotlight On Another Player:
- Miranda: I have 2. Liz for speaking in Octavia’s accent again, and Kevin for Gobbles taking out the lair.
- Liz: Justice again for some pretty interesting bosses. I was almost murdered this session.
- Kevin: Justice for the always interesting boss fight mechanics.
- Cordelia: Gobbles for taking the clay from the chain golem.
- Justice: Gobbles, Kevin, for making me think on my feet for attacking a mechanic instead of the actual creatures.
Challenge or Something Learned:
- Miranda: All the anti-magic stuff! I would like a break from that please.
- Liz: I learned that chain monsters freak me out. Oh, I learned that I should never be the first one to open a door.
- Kevin: Gobbles has learned that science should be focused on should you do something instead of could you do something.
- Cordelia: I stopped feeling like myself for a little bit.
- Justice: Even though I think boss fights may be challenging, players can make them easier. Remembering with all the mechanics that they also had legendary actions.
Hope or Prediction for Next Session:
- Miranda: It will be a month till we can play again, so I hope as many people as possible can play.
- Liz: I need a hosbibble! I need to fully rest and heal, but I can’t wait to have everybody at the table.
- Kevin: I’m looking forward to going to either a hot place or a cold place, and I’m also looking forward to having the doorknob installed on Truckasaurus.
- Cordelia: I want to get to my tundra dungeon!
- Justice: I hope we get to the volcano place and we can flesh that out.
Analysis: Cordelia had a mix of highs and lows today. She was SUPER excited about her high attack rolls. She loves feeling like she’s helping, and loves the idea of being strong. However, when we got to the room with the mage and golem she got really quiet. We asked her what’s wrong and she said, “I’m just not feeling like myself.” Even her high attack rolls weren’t exciting her. We told her that it was alright and we were there to help her through it. She has a tendency to get into her own head and dwell on thoughts and mistakes, still. I will say that she has gotten much better at casting those thoughts out. By the end she had perked up again a little, especially when the light in the Tundra began to blink.
